Deryn Mentock's BOHO Bliss Hoops class

Okay…so I must confess, I’ve been getting more and more interested in metalsmithing since the soldering class that I took back in December 2010.  I do have to say…there is just something about taking a plain sheet of metal and turning it into something really cool!
This is the ring that I made in my 1st soldering/metalsmithing class.

I learned a lot of different techniques while making this ring.  Since this class I’ve been eager to learn more!

So this summer, I signed up for Deryn Mentock’s BOHO Bliss class.  The BOHO Bliss class is taught online and it’s all about making earring with a Bohemian flair.  The course began on June 24 and will continue through until the end of August.  Yes, two full months of instruction!!!  Each week Deryn posts a new design to acquire and learn the different techniques.  The first week we learned how to make basic earrings, the second week focused on BOHO Bliss hoops, and the third week focused on Abacus hoops.
Here is a picture of the Abacus hoops that I made...

I’m still working on the other designs so I hope to post more pictures soon!

Be Inspired!
